This course was created as a SNIPg to ensure that nurses advocate and support access to healthcare and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Define the term Snipg
- Describe the term ally as it relates to the LGBTQ+ community
- Discuss current legislation within the United States impacting the LGBTQ+ community
- Highlight the importance of the nurse’s role in caring for LGBTQ+ patients
