This session showcases the CNS role in leading ethics rounds and facilitating effective communication with a focus on advance directives completion and supporting moral resilience. The learner will Identify key components of CNS led ethics rounds to support nursing moral resilience, analyze health care disparities impacting goals-of-care discussions and patient management within our Black and LGBTQIA+ communities and discuss strategies to support patient preferences, honoring their autonomy and right to self-determination.

Learning Objectives

The learner will be able to:
